Antika Bulgaria has prepared for you an exciting and rich four-day musical and cultural program. You will get a chance to see Bulgarian and Slavic folk-dance groups from the Bay Area and from as far as Vancouver, Seattle, San Diego, Sunnyvale and Sacramento. Invariably, a festival is not a true feast without live music. This year’s roster is the Varimezovi Family Band, Meraklii & Rumen-Sali Shopov, Antika Slavic Classical Strings (it’s their 10th anniversary!), a special Rhodope Gajda group in honor of Vassil Bebelekov. You can also enjoy a workshop, art exhibits, a special kids program (2:30-4pm on Sat), Bulgarian culinary delights, and more. Also, this year’s festival will bring to the streets of San Francisco the lively folk-dance bus tour and live-music dancing "flashmob" powered by Ivan Varimezov and Rumen-Sali Shopov and friends (final public "flashmob" stop at Embarcadero 4:30-5:30 pm on Sunday).
