Vocal Stylings of the Balkans

Briget Boyle’s background ranges from the folk music of Eastern Europe to the folk music that surrounds her on the West Coast of the United States. She is currently a member of the San Francisco Bay Area’s Kitka Women’s Vocal Ensemble and True Life Trio; and was the lead singer of Brass Menažeri Balkan Brass Band. She is a gifted vocal coach and founded Unleash Your Voice, which is a program designed to help singers access their authentic voices. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Briget started a regular series of livestream vocal warm-up sessions on her YouTube channel and has gone live over 100 times. She hosts monthly online singing workshops and can often be found teaching through the Kitka Institute. When she is not singing folk music, she is actively writing and performing original indie folk rock.
