Eleni Govetas

Eleni Govetas was born into the musical Govetas family, and has been immersed in the music from day one. She began performing with her family at the age of nine, and has continued to pursue traditional Greek and Balkan music into her adult life. Eleni has mastered the nuances of regional music on violin, saxophone, percussion, zurna, oud, and more. Her understanding of Greek and Balkan music comes directly from family tradition and from extensive studies abroad. Eleni currently plays with EGK (Elleni Govetas Kompania) and Drómeno.
