2020 Banatfolk - Romanian Folk Dance Seminar

July 7, 2020 at 8:00 pm – July 17, 2020

A unique opportunity to visit the idyllic sights of Romania!
Come and join us to celebrate a ten day stay of authentic Romanian culture and tradition in Banat, Timisoara, also known as the City of Roses and visit several places in Banat.

The program of this workshop includes the teaching of folk dances from Banat and from Romania (Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrogea, Moldova and Transylvania).

Dance teachers:
- Marius Ursu, artistic director and master choreographer of the folk ensemble “Doina Timisului”. Marius teaches Romanian folklore dances to amateur and professional folk ensembles, in courses and various workshops. He has participated to workshops in countries like: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Serbia, Switzerland, etc.
- master choreographers of the group will participate in “The Festival of Hearts”

From 8 until 12 of July, 2020 will be the 31st edition of the International Folk Festival “The Festival of Hearts" (with groups from 10 countries; and more than 20 professional and village folk groups from Romania.
Every evening in this period we will see performances of "The Festival of Hearts" at the Festival stage located in the Park of the Roses.

We have a surprise for you:
We will prepare a dance suite from Banat, which we will present at the closing show of "The Festival of Hearts”.
