Rembetiko - From Smyrna to Greece

October 11, 2015 at 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm

The Greek Heritage Society is proud to announce its upcoming REMBETIKO concert - FROM SMYRNA TO GREECE, featuring Lambros Houvardas, Dimitris Liogris and Pantelis Palamidis, Patrcia Kara, Theo Pagones, Nicholas Manolelis and accompanied by members of MusicaLatitudes and Special Guests.

The concert will be an authentic presentation of popular Greek music that was brought from Smyrna to Greece in the 1920s and started a musical movement that still is very popular today. Songs by VAMVAKARIS, TSITSANIS, XARHAKOS, PAPAZOGLOU and more!

The evening will conclude with a reception featuring award-winning Greek wines specially chosen by Michael Pavlidis to complement the gourmet Greek delicacies presented by Aliki’s Restaurant.
