Nikos often plays at Pontian glendia and at other venues on both the East and West coasts focusing on Karadeniz/Pontian (Black Sea) music. He has recorded several CDs with Pontian lyra players in Greece and Trebizond and contributed to the revival of Pontian-Greek music in Turkey. He is a PhD candidate in the department of Anthropology at Princeton University.
