Balkan Music &
Dance Workshops
Virtual Camp

While we regret the cancelation of both our Mendocino and Iroquois Springs workshops due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to have presented our first-ever, completely online Virtual Camps, each with three days of immersive classes, live-music performances, and community gatherings. Virtual Camp West Coast (July 17-19, 2020) was a great success, with 350 people registered. Our East Coast Virtual Camp (August 14-16) is now complete, with over 380 attendees!

Registration is now closed for both camps. Stay tuned for more EEFC-sponsored virtual events & classes!

Janam at The Monkey House

November 6, 2015 at 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm

Hi folks. We will be playing a very special show on November 6 at The Monkey House in north Berkeley. This will be Lila's last performance with us (sad face) and we want to send her off in style.

Janam unites some of the Bay Area's most playful and imaginative devotees of Balkan, Turkish and Appalachian music, who weave together Eastern modalities, gritty mountain ballads and their own colorful compositions. Janam features: Dan Auvil, percussion, voice & kaval; Tom Farris, laouto & guitar; Juliana Graffagna, voice & accordion; Gari Hegedus, oud, saz, mandocello & mandolin; and Lila Sklar, violin & voice.

Our albums Janam and The Space Between are available on cdbaby:
