Klezmer Workshop & Jam

August 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Learn tunes with authentic klezmer style, led by the terrific musician and teacher Dmitri Gaskin. Balance of learning by ear and with sheet music. For all instruments; no klezmer experience needed (but it doesn't hurt!). Must be at least intermediate level on your instrument. Mute required if you are a brass player. To get a head start, check out sheet music and/or sound files in advance. Bring a recording device if you like.

Registration: $25 sliding scale, for participants. Pay on site with cash or check. Refreshments included. Listeners welcome; donation requested. More info: 415.789.7679, jams@klezcalifornia.org.
