Virtual Camp

While we regret the cancelation of both our Mendocino and Iroquois Springs workshops due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to have presented our first-ever, completely online Virtual Camps, each with three days of immersive classes, live-music performances, and community gatherings. Virtual Camp West Coast (July 17-19, 2020) was a great success, with 350 people registered. Our East Coast Virtual Camp (August 14-16) is now complete, with over 380 attendees!

KlezCalifornia Yiddish Culture Festival - workshops of interest to Balkan musicians

December 4, 2016 at 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Ear-to-Hand Boot Camp, 1:00-2:30pm. The secret manual for immediate ear-to-hand playing. Veretski Pass (Cookie Segelstein, Joshua Horowitz, & Stu Brotman) will show speed learning techniques, insider tricks, and intensive drills to have you learn tunes the fast way.

Turn Songs Into Lively Arrangements, 2:45-4:15pm. Learn how to turn Yiddish (and other) vocal songs into full-fledged instant instrumental arrangements. Add intros, interludes, and outros to the tune. Taught by Veretski Pass.

Part of day-long Yiddish Culture Festival with nine workshops, Cabaret by the Bay (5:00pm), and Klezmer Dance Party with Bruce Bierman (6:30pm)
